Note: Leading halachic authorities have ruled that online authorizations are acceptable for the purpose of selling chametz. The traditional and preferred practice, however, is for the authorization transaction to be done in person with the local rabbi.

Chabad.org makes this service available online at no charge, to provide every Jew with the opportunity to have their chametz sold for Passover.

The sale of chametz must be completed by a specific time depending on the location where you will be on the morning of April 22, 2016. Please select a city (and corresponding time zone) where the sale of your chametz should take place.

Please select a city that is either a) in your time zone, or b) the closest city to the east of your time zone:

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Bangkok, please select Sydney.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Moscow, please select Bangkok.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Jerusalem, please select Moscow.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Paris, please select Jerusalem.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Sao Paulo, please select Paris.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of New York, please select Sao Paulo.

If you will be in a time zone to the east of Chicago, please select New York.
